Chyron’s HyperX3 to enable NBC with full on-air graphics
capability during its coverage of the Vancouver
Winter Games, February 12 – 28, 2010

Chyron has been selected to provide a full compliment of HyperX3’s to NBC for the network’s coverage of the Vancouver Winter Games, February 12-28. The announcement was made today by Philip Paully, Director of Graphics Engineering and Operations, NBC Olympics and Michael Wellesley-Wesley, CEO, Chyron.

The HyperX3 systems will be utilized for on-air NBC-generated graphics being broadcast from the International Broadcast Center (IBC), as well as remote venues. Having collaborated on the Beijing Olympic Games, Chyron will once again aid NBC in Vancouver with its spectacular Olympic Winter Games coverage.

Wellesley-Wesley said, “We are proud to be a part of the on-going broadcasting history that is NBC’s production of the Olympic Winter Games.”

Paully said, “The HyperX3 systems offer us the ability to display more intricate graphics at a speed much faster than previously capable in a live-to-air graphics production.”

Things Are Changing

Chyron, we are making changes to better serve you, our customers!

First, we are excited about our new European Headquarters at Power Road Studios, close to both Heathrow Airport and Central London. We are placing our Creative Services, Product Management, Sales and Support teams in this new facilitiy.

Chyron’s German office will now oversee Eastern European countries. Peter Frantz and his team at Chyron GmbH will bring the first rate knowledge of workflow solutions and service they have provided to their German customers to thosenew countries as well.

Matt Hughes will continue to look after system integrators, Africa and the Middle East. He will also now be the direct sales person for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Chyron’s Aldo Campisi is moving to Europe bringing his expertise and knowledge to countries in Western Europe. His work and insight along with the rest of the Chyron team over the past few years have rocketed Chyron to, once again, be “The Company the Whole World Watches.”

Chyron is thrilled with these changes and we welcome you to our new facilities in the UK and Germany. It is our promise to you, our customers, that we are committed to helping you produce the best graphics and cost effective workflow solutions.





New Regional Sales Manager for Latin/South America

Chyron is happy to announce that it has appointed Juan Gonzalez as Regional Sales Manager responsible for Latin and South America.

Gonzalez has been a product specialist for Chyron for more than five years and is a key figure in identifying elegant, effective fulfillment of broadcast graphics requirements.

Gonzalez said, “The graphics requirements for Latin and South American broadcasters are every bit as demanding as their North American counterparts and require the same level of expertise to advise on the most appropriate means of achieving the highest standards. It is also a market hungry for the latest technology, which I intend to deliver via the most appropriate packages that Chyron has to offer.”

CHYRON’S HYPERX3 GRAPHICS SYSTEMS
IN FIRST EVER LIVE SIX NATIONS
3D RUGBY MATCH

London, UK – February 4, 2010: Chyron (NASDAQ: CHYR) announced today that its HyperX3 graphic system will be providing 3D stereoscopic graphics for the live broadcast of the Six Nations Rugby match of England vs. Wales on February 6. Chyron is partnering with Inition, SIS Live and Wurmsers for the event, which is sponsored by O2.

The broadcast from Twickenham Stadium will be seen in more than 40, 3D-equipped cinemas around the UK. This anticipated match will be the first ever live 3D broadcast of rugby worldwide.  The fans watching in the cinemas are in for a treat as they will actually feel like they have the best seats in the house.

Wurmsers is using Chyron’s HyperX3 graphics system with Lyric PRO which has the benefit of 3D Stereoscopic tools as a standard feature. The support of Chyron’s Creative Services department was instrumental in helping with the 3D graphic design to ensure the viewer sees and feels the 3D experience from the match as well as the on air graphics.
